Thanksgiving

Jonathan, the kids, and I drove down to Utah to spend Thanksgiving with his family. We left Wednesday afternoon and got to Jared and Heidi's home at around 4am the next day. It was a really LONG trip but it was a blast to see everyone and let our kids play with their cousins. On Thursday we played the Wii and other games while waiting for the Thanksgiving meal to start. Heidi made a wonderful meal and a bunch of different pies and it all tasted great! The boys played in the "Turkey Bowl" (football) and Faith tried so hard to play with them and keep up. The little kids played with PeanutButter Playdough and had so much fun eating it! We had Plumb family pictures and Heidi let all the kids help her put up their Christmas tree and decorate it. Heidi and Angela made sugar cookies and let the kids decorate them. Grandpa Plumb played the candy game with everyone and had a family Christmas gift exchange since everyone was there. Then right before we left on Saturday we made grahm cracker houses. Most of them collapsed but it was still fun. Jon and I didn't get any pictures because we left out memory card at home but I'll post the links to my In-Laws websites that have pictures posted. Thank you Heidi for opening up your home to all of us crazy people and feeding us! Thank you Angela for letting us stay at your home even though you weren't there! I hope to see you all again soon!

Halloween and Other Things...

First of all...Halloween. Faith was a witch and Logan was Batman. We went

to our ward's trunk-or-treat and the LOVED it! After the thrid car Logan wouldn't go

on until I gve him a sucker. He didn't seem to care much about all the other cars but

Faith wanted to go to every single car. They both had so much fun!

Logan's been playing this game where he climbs under blankets and "hides."

He thinks it's really funny, then he jumps out and yells "roar" and Faith calls him

the blanket monster. He does this over and over again for about 15 minutes and the kids

have fun playing like that. Well one time when they were playing this game in front of

Jon and I a while passed before I realized the kids were being really quiet. I found Logan

asleep under the blanket on this chair, I had to pull the blaket down a little so I could

take this picture. Guess he wore himself out!

Faith LOVES to draw! She actually draws people pretty dang well for a 3 year old.
Jon injured himself about two weeks ago. During PT at work they were playing some
soccer football game that someone made up and Jon was running after some guy,
it was really foggy that morning and he didn't see some bleachers until it was too late to stop,
so he decided to try and jump over them. He made it over the bleachers but landed on his
right side on the ground. This is a picture of the first day he started bruising. I should
have taken day by day pictures of his bruising, it ended up going from his mid-waste
all the way down to his knee and was black and purple with red spots all over it for days!
He's still bruised pretty badly but he can at least walk better now.

I was really craving homemade cinnamon rolls the other day so I decided to make
some. They turned out pretty good, a little dry but still really good.

Logan's 2nd ER Visit

Nothing new or exciting has really happened lately except for today. Jon and I woke up to Logan whineing that his nose hurt, I looked at it a little bit and didn't see anything abnormal so I brushed it off and we all started getting ready for church. He whined off and on for a while and kept saying his nose hurt and started saying things like "get it out" so I took a closer look and low and behold what do I find..... a screw! He stuck a screw up his nose! Jon tried a few times to get it out but it was up there pretty dang far so instead of heading to church, we made our way to the ER. Luckily the wait wasn't long and it only took a few seconds for the nurse to take it out, and we had at least 5 different doctors and nurses check every hole on his body to make sure there wasn't anything else stuck somewhere. Anyway, that's Logan's second ER visit since February (when he had stitches) and our update for now.

My Favorite Shows

Some of my favorite shows have premiered this week.

Heroes and Smallville. If you havn't watched either then you

are missing out! Bones and House also premiered this week but I

missed out on those two and am trying to catch up. Heroes is on

Monday nights at 9pm on NBC, Bones and House are on Tuesday

nights one after the other on Fox from 8-10pm. And Smallville is

on Thursday nights at 8pm on the CW. That's about all that's been

going on around here lately.

Jonathan's Homecoming!

A few days before Jonathan came home Lisa (my mother-in-law) came

over with two of her youngest children (Tanner & Kaylee). Here's pictures

Logan's Birthday!

I know I'm behind again. Here's pictures from Logan's birthday. He woke up sick and throwing up but with his quick acting medication he became better within hours. Logan got a Lightning McQueen race track, a TMNT (Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtle) that came with a motorcycle from daddy, some tub boats and a play mat with numbers on it from Grandma and Grandpa Plumb. Great Grandma Ruth has never been to Spokane before so we took her to Riverfront Park and fed the ducks, some even ate out of Faith's hand. We also went on a tram ride and went down the big red wagon. Then Great Grandpa Plumb took everyone out for dinner to his favorite mexican resturaunt. It turned out to be a pretty good 2nd birthday for him.

Camping

Faith, Logan, and I recently went camping with some of Jon's family. We had a blast, though we were very dirty and were bitten to death by mosquitos. Faith and Logan loved it, they loved playing with their aunts & uncles and especially their cousins Kathleen, Brandon, and Cody. We camped near a river and Faith helped Grandpa make a "pool" out of rocks. The kids did get burnt a little and it took Logan a good 20 mins or more to warm up to the cool water and actually start playing in it by himself, but they all ended up having a blast in the cool water. Also, we had a birthday party for all the July birthdays (Grandpa, Tanner, Kathleen, Logan, & Cody). We did have lots of fun but we were very happy to go home and take a shower!

Jonathan's Last Day

Funeral

Here's pictures of my Father's Funeral. Many, many people attended the viewing and the service was PACKED. I tend to forget how many people my dad has touched. My uncle Bill (my dad's brother) found some Vietnam Vetran bikers that offered to escort us to the graveyard and they and their families did a wonderful job, it was amazing! They put up flags and lined the way to the hurse and did the same when the pall bearers took the coffin to the burial site. My dad received a 21 gun salute and a military honors funeral. Jonathan was even able to present my mom with the flag that my dad so rightfully earned. It was the best funeral that I have ever been to!

My Not So Very Good Week

Life has been crazy here so this update is going to be pretty short, it's just to let you know what's going on over here. Sunday I spoke to my mom and she told me that my dad wasn't feeling very well and his leukemia is getting worse. Tuesday I receive a phone call from my sister telling me that my dad has been lifeflighted to Salt Lake because he felt like his brain was going to explode and they found two blood clots in his brain. Wednesday I call Red Cross to inform Jonathan of the situation and see if there is anyway he could come home. Thursday my dad had surgery to remove the blood clots and had a huge part of his skull removed so they could do brain surgery (he's now had surgery on all of his vial organs). Surgery went well, some swelling in his brain and he had slight slur of speech. Also found out that Red Cross didn't send enough information to Jonathan so they won't send him home. Friday, dad is doing ok from what my family says, but still in critial condition, spent most of the day on the phone with doctors and Red Cross to get a better message to Jonathan, my dad's oncologist sent a message saying my dad has less than a year to live, Jon's still not coming home. Also involved in a hit & run on my way to Wal-Mart, luckily nothing more than a cracked taillight and a scratch on the backside of my car. Dad was transfered to the VA hospital this evening. Saturday my dad's birthday - sister called and said my dad took a turn for the worse. Spent all day on the phone once again with doctors and Red Cross, the doctor we were talking to left for the day so we had to start over with a new doctor. He sent a message to Red Cross stating my dad has only a few days to live. 5 hours later still no word with jonathan if he's coming home. Sunday "happy father's day" (ya right) got word from jonathan at 2am that he's coming home, at least some good news in all this. So there's my crappy week all summed up.
